So, My Site Got Hit With the Google Helpful Content Update

Why, though? These aren’t affiliate marketing slanted or unhelpful posts

Every day I get comments for the writing I do on my blog, Elna Cain.

Not all are this fabulous, but a good portion are.

People search for something about freelancing, they find my blog, they devour and binge my content and tell me about it.

Many times, they tell me my FREE blog posts helped them land a client. That’s awesome and great….and I bet it was because the content was helpful.

Yet, Google doesn’t think so.

Google traffic

My site was down over 30% and as soon as the update started, my site traffic started going down.

Why?

Is it because my clients are stealing my keywords?

Is it because the last few posts are actually affiliate marketing (something I have never ever done on that blog in years)?

Or that my writing is doomed to be AI type of writing?
