3 Client Types Every Copywriter Must Know
These beginners clients pay big bucks
Copywriting is a new service I’m offering.
While I’ve been content writing for clients for almost a decade, it’s only the past two years that I decided to formally offer email copywriting services.
Why did I wait so long? I mean, copywriting pays almost triple to content writing.
For me, the biggest reason was finding the right type of client and having the confidence that I could do copywriting for them.
To help you start copywriting much faster than I did, let’s check out three primary client types you’ll likely work with, drawing from my experiences and those of others in the field.
1. Working Directly with Clients
The first approach is to work directly with clients. This is similar to my content writing strategy.
I decided to target educational coaches that created toddler focussed or elementary focussed curriculums.
I used Instagram as my primary platform for outreach. I felt most coaches market on IG and since I was already following coaches, it would be an easy method to land copywriting work.
